London (Southampton) | Friday, May 03, 2024 | Friday, May 03, 2024 |
London is known worldwide as an entertainment capital, a center for the arts, a center of rich and varied heritage, a 'green' city, and waterfront attraction center. The city is alive with theaters, clubs, pubs, casinos and entertainment venues, making it a day or night out to remember. Southampton is the main regional centre for the arts, offering quality, variety and choice. Southampton has a rich and varied heritage, five excellent museums covering all aspects of the city's past and the remains of the medieval town walls. Southampton's rich heritage of parks and open spaces make it probably 'the Greenest City in the UK'. Whether it's shopping, eating out or taking in great events, there's always something to see and do on the attractive waterfront.
St. Malo | Saturday, May 04, 2024 | Saturday, May 04, 2024 |
Saint Malo is a prime tourist destination in Brittany. Visitors flock to Saint Malo to experience the unique "intra-muros" (meaning within the walls) streets of the old citadel. Visit Saint Vincent Cathedral, noted for its medieval and modern stained glass windows. The museum in Château de Saint Malo has exhibits illustrating the city's prosperous time during its heydays of piracy, colonialism and slave trading. The ramparts afford great views over the roof tops and harbor. Saint Malo also serves as a gateway for excursions to legendary Mont Saint Michel - with the Abbey of Mont Saint Michel and its ensemble of buildings soaring high above the sea. As amazing as the abbey itself are extraordinary tide variations that leave the mount to look out on stretches of bare sand at low tide, while the same expanse of land is submerged during high tide. South of Saint Malo is the medieval town of Dinan. Once totally surrounded by ramparts, 14 towers and a good part of the walls are still standing, encircling beautiful 15th-century timbered houses.

La Coruna, Spain | Thursday, May 09, 2024 | Thursday, May 09, 2024 |
La Coruna is the largest city in Spain's Galicia region and among the country's busiest ports. Today the city's significant expansion is evident in its three distinct quarters: the Ciudad (City), and town center located along the isthmus; the business and commercial center with wide avenues and shopping streets; and the Ensanche to the South, built up with industry. La Coruna's beautiful main square, Plaza Maria Pita, has many buildings in the old section which feature characteristic glazed facades, which have earned La Coruna the name City of Crystals. Santiago de Compostela is located only 37 miles from La Coruna. The City is the original town with narrow, cobbled streets and quaint squares. Avenida de la Marina, running parallel to the waterfront, is lined by typical tall houses with glazed balconies at every floor. Mendez Nunez Gardens lie between the harbor and Los Cantones in a bustling quarter of the city. Once used as a prison, San Anton Castle now houses the Military and Archaeological Museum. The Roman lighthouse Hercules Tower is said to be the oldest in Europe.

Lisbon | Saturday, May 11, 2024 | Saturday, May 11, 2024 |
Portugal’s capital is an 18th-century city - elegant, open to the sea and carefully planned. Most places of interest are within easy walking distance. Rossio Square, the heart of Lisbon since medieval times, is an ideal place to start exploring. Many rebuilt houses with original façades provide stores and restaurants with modern interiors. High above Baixa is Bairro Alto - with its teeming nightlife. There are many monuments and museums, such as San Jeronimos Monastery, Royal Coach Museum and Gulbenkian Museum. Two well-known landmarks are the Monument to the Discoveries and the Tower of Belem. A statue of Christ looms above Europe’s longest suspension bridge. Madragoa, Bica and Bairro Alto, Lisbon’s older sections, offer a variety of sights: the Church of Sao Roque, with its beautiful tiles; St. George Castle, which offers a splendid view from its location above the Alfama quarter; the botanical gardens, featuring an unusual, cold greenhouse; and the cathedral, stunning with its Moorish design. Renowned Gulbenkian Museum is the cultural center of Portugal.

Alicante is located on Spain’s Costa Blanca in the Levant Region, along the country’s southeastern coast and is a tourist resort and commercial port. The region is marked by lush mountain ranges. During the Gothic era of the fifteenth through sixteenth centuries centuries, art and architecture flourished in Alicante and the remainder of the Levant Region. Immense palaces and grandiose churches were built with elaborate baroque details. Visitors can see a third century BC fortress - the citadel of Santa Bárbara built by ruler Amilcar Barca, a Carthaginian, Arrabal Roig - the old quarter, the Baroque town hall (1701-60), the Church of Santa MarÃa (14th century), and the Renaissance church of San Nicolás de Bari (18th century).
Barcelona | Wednesday, May 15, 2024 | Wednesday, May 15, 2024 |
Barcelona, the self-confident and progressive capital of Spain, is a tremendous place to be. Though it boasts outstanding Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings, and some great museums – most notably those dedicated to Picasso and Catalan art – it is above all a place where there's enjoyment simply in walking the streets, stopping in at bars and cafés, drinking in the atmosphere. A thriving port and the most prosperous commercial centre in Spain, it has a sophistication and cultural dynamism way ahead of the rest of the country. In part this reflects the city's proximity to France, whose influence is apparent in the elegant boulevards and imaginative cooking. But Barcelona has also evolved an individual and eclectic cultural identity, most perfectly and eccentrically expressed in the architecture of Antoni GaudÃ. Scattered as Barcelona's main sights may be, the greatest concentration of interest is around the old town (La Ciutat Vella). These cramped streets above the harbor are easily manageable, and far more enjoyable, on foot. Start, as everyone else does, with the Ramblas.
Valencia | Thursday, May 16, 2024 | Thursday, May 16, 2024 |
Valencia is one of the biggest, liveliest cities in Spain. It is located at the Mediterranean sea with beaches right in its heart that offer every kind of sports. With its active nightlife and various cultural offerings, Valencia is one of the most dynamic cities in Spain. One of the most famous buildings in Valencia is the Cathedral and its tower named, "El Miquelet" (Little Michael) which was built between 1381 and 1424. Try Spain's most famous food right where it was born: "Paella Valenciana". Valencia is the city where "El Cid", Spain's national hero, fought against the Moors, and popular festivals in the city and many villages around still remind of this epoch.

A cosmopolitan city with sophisticated shops and restaurants, it also offers buildings of spectacular Moorish and gothic architecture. Museo de Mallorca housed in the Palacio Ayamans boasts an interesting collection of Moorish, medieval and 18th- to 19th-century art. Those who wish to explore the northern end of the island will enjoy the dramatic land and seascape of Cabo Formentor at the end of a long, narrow peninsula. A winding road with magnificent views leads to the luxury Hotel Formentor, beautifully situated above the bay. The lighthouse of Cabo Formentor is the most northerly point on Majorca.
Menorca, Balearic Island | Saturday, May 18, 2024 | Saturday, May 18, 2024 |
Legend tells the winds of Menorca modify the personality of people. Maybe that is the reason why those who came here once as tourists mostly return. Menorca certainly has a very strong personality, and a very different one to the rest of the islands. Menorca, the "minor" island, as it was called by Romans, has an almost virginal interior and shows interesting remains of its old history. On the other hand, there are beaches and lonely bays around it. An ideal resort for all those who are looking for true relaxation.

For the safety and security of all guests and staff on board, there are Designated Smoking Areas available onboard. These areas are comfortably furnished and conveniently located near food and beverage areas. Smoking is expressly forbidden in all staterooms and suites, on verandas, or in any areas of the ship other than officially Designated Smoking Areas. Smoking in a stateroom or suite or on a veranda represents a serious fire and safety hazard to all guests and staff. Guests choosing to disregard this policy will be disembarked at the next port of call and may also be subject to additional fees that will be imposed to cover the costs associated with any damage to and the required cleaning of furnishings, verandas, and surrounding deck and accommodation areas. All areas other than those specified as Designated Smoking Areas will remain smoke-free. This includes all guest suites and staterooms, verandas, restaurants, public areas, the Casino, and all other areas of the ship. Cigar and pipe smoking is only permitted on the forward, starboard corner of the Pool Deck. The use of electronic cigarettes is allowed within designated smoking areas only.
Special arrangements can be made for guests requiring diabetic, gluten-free, lactose-free, kosher, vegetarian, and vegan meals. Other diets must be requested for approval and, in some cases, may require additional medical documentation.
Guests with any medical condition(s) or special needs that may require treatment or attention or accommodation during the voyage, or needing to travel with medical apparatus, including wheelchairs, motorized scooters, oxygen therapy, etc., must advise Oceania Cruises in writing at the time of deposit. Please note some ports of call may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility and in such cases, may disallow debarkation with a wheelchair or motorized scooter or for any individual with limited mobility. Oceania Cruises is unable to accommodate women past their sixth month of pregnancy. Oceania Cruises has the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who, in its judgment, is in a physical, mental or emotional condition unfit for travel or whose comfort onboard may be compromised due to situations beyond the care that can be provided by Oceania Cruises. Oceania Cruises will under appropriate circumstances permit its guests to use special equipment such as those noted above, which satisfy the criteria stated in the Oceania Cruises' Policy Statement.
Wheelchair Assistance
If a guest needs wheelchair assistance at embarkation and debarkation, the request must be communicated prior to departure so appropriate arrangements for assistance can be made. If a guest is requesting wheelchair assistance at the airport, they must contact the airline directly.
Oxygen
Oceania Cruises does not provide oxygen for guests. If a guest requires oxygen, they will need to bring it on board with them. The guest may contact a supply company that will deliver it to the ship for them. Oceania will need to know how many containers, what size they are, and the type. Liquid oxygen is not allowed on board Oceania ships at any time. If the guest needs oxygen for their flights, they will need to arrange it directly with the airline.
Delivery of Medical Equipment
Having medical equipment brought on board is handled on a case by case basis. Oceania Cruises must receive the full dimensions, description of the equipment, name of the delivery company, and all other pertinent information prior to the cruise.
Oceania Cruises cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, ar at any time during, the cruise.
Oceania Cruises has established contacts throughout the world with several different emergency rooms/hospitals where onboard doctors can refer patients for medical care.
Wireless Internet service is available throughout the ship.
There are 16 computers available in the Oceania@Sea Internet Café on board each ship. The Oceania@Sea Internet Café is open 24 hours, until the last night of the cruise, when it closes at 11 p.m. Two additional computers are available in the library. Wireless Internet service is available throughout all ships.
Each ship is equipped with limited medical facilities and staffed by international medical personnel. Customary Emergency Room fees and charges do apply for medical services and are dictated by the services performed by the ship's medical staff.

Pros: Small ship and attention to service. Food was amazing!
Cons: Our room was right under the Waves Grill and we heard the scraping of chairs from 11am-4am and sometimes beyond because there was cleaning after it closed.

GREAT itinerary
Pros: GREAT itinerary
Cons: Understaffed or poorly trained wait staff. Entertainment so so.
Review: Service in main dining room and in Terrace Cafe was below average. Some of the servers were very motivated and gave immediate service, where others seemed to be sullen, more interested in chatting with other servers and often were not anywhere to be found. I watched one couple wait for 20 minutes for someone to come over and bring them water and take their wine order. In the main dining room, I was asked if I wanted syrup for my pancakes and had to wait 15 minutes for it to appear. In other cases, the staff forgot what we ordered and never brought it or brought the wrong thing. I believe that either they have not been trained properly, the ship is understaffed which causes them to have to run around trying to serve everyone, or they are lazy. Food variety was good. But desserts were not good at all especially the chocolate ones. The cookies were also bad. Tasted like too much flour and not enough butter or sugar. However, ice creams were VERY GOOD. Entertainment was good one night, awful the next. Dance troope asked to leave after a few days onboard. Cabin staff were excellent. Staff rating below is for wait staff in dining room and cafe.
Overall cruise was a good cruise. Cruise staff were wonderful, food was good and excursion were good with exception of Bonaire kayak & snorkeling experience
Pros: Overall cruise was a good cruise. Cruise staff were wonderful, food was good and excursion were good with exception of Bonaire kayak & snorkeling experience
Cons: Bonaire excursion was a teriible experience and mishandled by excursion guide and staff of O'Ceania.
Review: Overall cruise was a wonderful experience to the Carribean islands. Cruise ship staff are very attentive, food is good and weather was warm and inviting.
Staff and food excellent
Pros: Staff and food excellent
Cons: Some of the ports were awful
Review: We cruised with 3 other couples and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and the food and cocktails were very good along with a good staff. At times the staff seemed short handed but they did their best to please. I like Oceania, but prefer their larger ships with more restaurants and entertainment.
Our entire trip was great from check in to departure.
Pros: Our entire trip was great from check in to departure.

Review: I would recommend this to anyone taking a cruise that wants to be pampered and relaxation !

Pros: The crew kept the ship very clean. Extra effort to keep passengers safe. The entertainment was good. Excursions were plentiful.
Cons: We had rough seas and had to miss two ports. The seas were very rough so I’m glad they kept us safe.
Review: Food was yummy and plentiful. Our stateroom was very clean and had plenty of storage. Just wish I could have won more trivia events.

Pros: A wonderful trip, boat was first class along with the crew!

Review: Enjoyed the whole experience. First time on a long cruise (16 days). As above the boat was wonderful staff was great and the food was 5 star!
Small ship
Pros: Small ship
Cons: Small ship
Review: We have been planning this trip for over a year. Most of it met our expectations. My husband became ill on the ship and had to seek medical attention. This was a good experience. The on board physician felt he needed to seek further treatment while we were in port at Monaco. This was quite an interesting experience! He finished the trip and the on board medical staff checked up on him which was nice. We encountered rough seas one night and probably 85% of the passengers and crew were sick! Five out of our six were sick! Not any fault of the ship but it did affect the trip. There were times when the ship had a bad sewer gas smell. Now that was the fault of the ship. The food was great, staff was great, entertainment was good and our overall experience was good. It really depends on what you are looking for. We were looking for a smaller more intimate experience which is what we got. If you want more entertainment and more casino-pick a larger ship. We did love the ports and overall had a good time. A trip our family will never forget!
Service was excellent. The staff was exceptional. Very clean ship.
Pros: Service was excellent. The staff was exceptional. Very clean ship.
Cons: Better entertainment. More specialty dining. There was only two.
Review: Would like better entertainment.

Pros: Excellent Staff Food & Restaurants Entertainment Pool

Review: Dijana was an excellent server in the poolside area. She was friendly and was very pleasant to see every day we were on the ship.
The ship, the wait staff and cabin staff, the passengers
Pros: The ship, the wait staff and cabin staff, the passengers
Cons: Excursions
Review: The wait and cabin staff were outstanding, and the ship was spotless. We loved the fact that this was part of a larger cruise group (Tablas Creek Winery). We were disappointed that the Oceania excursions did not use headsets, making it hard to hear in buildings and churches, and that the guides did not appear to be prepared to allow some guests bathroom breaks.
Really liked smaller ship size. The Terrace Buffet was excellent. Ate majority of meals there. Staterooms were excellent. Enjoyed the excellent staff service.
Pros: Really liked smaller ship size. The Terrace Buffet was excellent. Ate majority of meals there. Staterooms were excellent. Enjoyed the excellent staff service.
Cons: The Grand Dining Room was less than anticipated. Disappointed with menu choices and quality. Service was extremely slow. Only ate there twice.
Review: See comments above.

The food was the best we have ever experienced on a cruise.
Pros: The food was the best we have ever experienced on a cruise.
Cons: Stateroom movies and shows were not very good.
Review: We liked our "Atlantic Serenade" cruise so much that we booked another cruise with this company.
Itinerary, dining, service overall, afternoon tea, ports, very comfortable bed
Pros: Itinerary, dining, service overall, afternoon tea, ports, very comfortable bed
Cons: Small cabins and baths, rough seas in Australia and New Zealand, slow internet, disembarking at tendered ports, large group onboard seemed to consume services
Review: Overall a very good cruise. Our deluxe ocean view cabin was pretty small but we'll appointed. 2 days prior to the start of our cruise we were informed that the cruise was oversold and that we would be downgraded (along with others in our group). The next day we were told we would keep our original room category. Oceania needs to get a handle on their bookings and capacity. The other issue we experienced was disembarking at a tendered port in Akaroa. We booked a private tour as the Oceania tour we wanted was sold out. We inquired at reception the disembarking process for private tours and were told to get there early to get a disembarking number. We were within the first 10 in line but they called all of the Oceaia tours first so we waited over an hour and our tour had to be cut short so that we could be back in time. Reception and the people that managed disembarking were not in sync. It took several attempts to have our final bill corrected.
size of ship.....ports visited....staff......food
Pros: size of ship.....ports visited....staff......food
Cons: wish I could find some....sorry
Review: We wanted a small ship vs a 2500 passenger vessel.....Sirena met our wishes. I would recommend this cruise to anyone.....Meditterean ports are the best.... we enjoyed getting to know the staff as they worked many areas frequently...Croatia....Cannes...Montenegro......Toulan....Barcelano......we would visit again.
Excellent service, outstanding delicious food.
Pros: Excellent service, outstanding delicious food.
Cons: Excursions
Review: Excursions doesn't matches the high standards you expect from a 5+ star cruise line. They need to improve them or recommend some other alternatives. Marina, in Destinations services tried very hard to help, but she doesn't have a magic wand. She is an outstanding, friendly, profesional member of the Destination Services staff.
As always, the food was superb, and the dining servers were well informed, experienced, and gave excellent serivce. The side excursions organized by Nikki were superb. Great tour guides who spoke excellent English and allowed us to add on or omit wasn't right for us.
Pros: As always, the food was superb, and the dining servers were well informed, experienced, and gave excellent serivce. The side excursions organized by Nikki were superb. Great tour guides who spoke excellent English and allowed us to add on or omit wasn't right for us.
Cons: Our butler was far inferior to the previous butlers we had on Oceania. He gave ok service, and always tried to bring things when asked, but previous butlers always anticipated our needs. For instance, if we forgot to fill out our hors douvres menu, they brought something anyway. We always ate dinner after 7:30 pm, but the steward knocked on our door almost every night at 7:00 to ask us when we planned to have dinner (even when we had reservations clearly marked for 7:30). We had to get out of the shower or put on a robe just to answer the dinner time question. On one day, I asked the butler to come get two items I needed pressed, and he said he would be right there, but never showed up. I ended up finding the iron in the laundry room, and did it myself. I accidentally locked myself out onto the balcony. (the door blew shut and automatically locked. I talked to two other people who had the same experience. Our friends needed to dial 911 because one of them had low sugar due to and insulin reaction. and NO ONE EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE OR CAME TO HELP.
Review: See Pros and Cons. One other thing: I went to Canyon Ranch to buy some lavendar oil. It was $15. When I got home, the bottle was empty.
Great food, efficient butler and maid, variety of excursions, talented quartet, friendly dining facilities, outstanding library for quiet reading, well-stocked fridge, recognition by officials this was our 4th Oceania cruise.
Pros: Great food, efficient butler and maid, variety of excursions, talented quartet, friendly dining facilities, outstanding library for quiet reading, well-stocked fridge, recognition by officials this was our 4th Oceania cruise.
Cons: Most Oceania regulars said Sirena was not quite ready for use when we boarded. In second week, wooden railings were still being painted. The wine list in all restaurants was same as last year on Regatta; no effort made to update it. Also, was a definite lack of quality wines, especially chardonnays.
Review: See above.
