Tokyo | Saturday, Mar 16, 2024 | Saturday, Mar 16, 2024 |
Huge department stores brim with shoppers, neon flashes from dusk to dawn, and the entire world pays heed to the slightest fluctuation on the Nikkei Index. From the Imperial Palace and Meiji Shrine to the fabled Ginza district, 20th-century Tokyo is an intriguing composite of East and West. Yuppies sporting Walkmen bow formally in greeting. Women in kimonos and Dior suits stroll side-by-side. Geishas play samisens while disc jockeys play the Top Forty. Japanese houses of wood and paper stand in the shadow of towering steel and mortar. Not far away, one of the world's most impressive sights soars 12,388 feet to its snow-clad peak: Mount Fuji, the majestic symbol of Japan.

This large, bustling port is the starting point for tours to the ancient cities of Kyoto and Nara, the cultural fountainheads of classical Japan. Kyoto's Old Imperial Palace and the shogunal Nijo Castle remain glorious symbols of the power the city held for over 1,000 years. Until 1868, Kyoto was the capital of Japan, filled with elegant timber buildings and, perhaps more than any other Japanese city, imbued with Kami, the divine spirit. You'll sense it everywhere, for there are hundreds of Shinto shrines and over a thousand Buddhist temples, as well as sacred treasure-houses of religious sculpture, painting and exquisite gardens. Nara, City of the Seven Great Temples, lies in an idyllic setting.

Okinawa | Friday, Mar 22, 2024 | Friday, Mar 22, 2024 |
Okinawa, Japan, is a place of history, beauty and a friendly, laid-back lifestyle not seen elsewhere in the country. It is home to subtropical forests, coral reefs, sunken ships and ruins. It is a hidden paradise of warm, clear water waiting to be explored by both snorkelers and scuba divers of any level. The Okinawa archipelagos are composed of 160 islands formed by coral and volcanic activity. They are located between the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean, 500 mi/800 km east of Shanghai and 750 mi/1,200 km south of Japan proper. Its history is rich and intriguing, dating back some 10,000 years. Off the main island of Okinawa, there are other historic dive sites to explore, as well as ecotours in the lush subtropical jungles and 15th-century castles. The USS Emmons, a naval destroyer, sank off of the northwestern coast of Okinawa on 6 April 1945 when five Japanese pilots pummeled the ship, leaving her listless. It initially sunk in 240 ft/74 m of water but, because of typhoons in the area, the ship moved into shallower waters (145 ft/45 m deep) where it was discovered in 2001. From the 15th century to the 19th century, the archipelagos were known as the Ryukyu Kingdom, an independent nation that wisely learned how to bridge cultural and political bridges with China, Japan and Korea. The Shuri Castle was home to the king and acted as the main political and economic hub for Ryukyu. The castle was nearly destroyed during World War II; however, the architectural plans were preserved, and the castle was rebuilt as an exact replicate, incorporating a few original stone walls and underground storehouses that remained from the 15th century. In October 2019, the main structures of the reconstructed, all wood castle, which was a Unesco World Heritage site, caught fire and burned to the ground. http://www.oki-park.jp. From the beginning of time, nature and the Okinawan spirit have been synonymous. Ecotours are available to explore the mangrove forests, waterfalls, rare plants and animals indigenous to the islands. The Kerama islands are just 20 mi/32 km southwest of the main island and provide great day trips. This group of islands provides world-class snorkeling, diving and kayaking. Each season of the year brings special focus to nature in Okinawa Prefecture. During January and February, whale watching and cherry blossoms are spectacular; during the spring, marlin and sailfish abound; summer brings the coral blooms underwater; and fall sees the re-enactment parade and festival at Shurijo Castle. Visitors should expect to spend at least four days there.
Ishigaki | Saturday, Mar 23, 2024 | Saturday, Mar 23, 2024 |
Ishigaki Island is the main island of the Yaeyama Islands. The island offers visitors calm beaches, snorkeling, and diving in the surrounding coral reefs. Ishigaki also has the highest mountain in the region, which afford visitors great hiking trails throughout the island's hilly interior.

Celebrity Cruises is happy to accommodate many different kinds of dietary needs in the Main Dining Room to enhance your cruise vacation. Once you have booked your cruise, send your special dietary request to SpecialNeeds@celebrity.com or call 1-866-592-7225.
Food Allergies
Celebrity's entire team is extensively trained to handle these special needs. Just speak with your Maître d' onboard and he or she will ensure your requirements are met. In the Marketplace, speak with the Manager who can answer any of your questions about ingredients in the dishes.
Vegetarian Dining
Celebrity offers a separate 14-day Vegetarian Menu that also contains at least one Vegan Selection in every category (appetizers, soups, salads, entrée) each night of your vacation. Look for the leaf icon to find the vegetarian dishes on the Main Dining Room menu.
Kosher Meals
In addition to the current selection of complimentary kosher meals, there is also a selection of Premium Kosher Meals. High quality, made-from-scratch dishes are Glatt Kosher certified and prepared under the strict supervision of the O.U. and USDA. Pricing is per item and prices are subject to change. If you wish to partake of either the standard or premium kosher meals, you must notify Celebrity 60 days in advance of your departure date. Premium Kosher Meals must be ordered onboard 24 hours in advance.
No Sugar Added Desserts
To accommodate guests with sensitivity to sugar, there is a selection of delicious, mouth-watering desserts with no added sugar. Available in all the onboard restaurants. Just look for the diamond symbol on the menu.
Other Dietary Needs
Lactose-intolerant? Need baby food? Or gluten-free dishes? Just ask and Celebrity will do their best to provide you with delicious alternatives.
Celebrity Cruises cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during their cruise vacation. A physician's "Fit to Travel" note is required prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) your pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that you are in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. The "Fit to Travel" note should be faxed to the Access Department at 1-954-628-9622. If you have already booked a cruise or Cruisetour and do not meet this requirement, please call Celebrity at 1-866-592-7225 or email them at info@specialneedsgroup.com.
For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, Celebrity ships are designated as non-smoking. However, Celebrity does recognize that some guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, lounge, hallway, elevator or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted inside any guest stateroom, nor on any guest veranda. If a guest is in violation of this policy, a cleaning fee of $250USD will be applied to their SeaPass account and the guest may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. A guest must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard. Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises cruisetour products.
Celebrity is committed to providing all its guests with an unrivaled cruise vacation. Their extensive attention to detail will make your vacation one that knows no boundaries.
Dialysis
Guests requiring continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis are welcome to board all Celebrity Cruises vessels. However, Celebrity Cruises does not have the ability to assist or administer hemo-dialysis treatments. Guests should have all solutions and equipment needed to perform the dialysis delivered to the vessel on the day of sailing at least two hours prior to sailing. Please contact Celebrity for more information on policies and procedures.
Oxygen
All types of oxygen are permitted onboard. Please notify Celebrity as to quantity, type and delivery schedule. Each vessel has a different storage policy. However, you will be able to keep some or all of your cylinders in the stateroom.
Mobile Disabilities
Every ship in the Celebrity fleet was designed with every guest's need in mind. You'll find wide, spacious corridors, to allow 180° turns for wheelchairs. Most decks are accessible through automatic doors, and all public rooms feature entrances with gradual inclines.
Celebrity will provide complimentary wheelchair assistance for embarkation and disembarkation only.
If you would like to have a wheelchair during the cruise, there is a limited supply of wheelchairs available on the ships. Please contact the Access Department if you would like to make a reservation for a wheelchair. If you want to ensure you will have a wheelchair or scooter onboard, you are welcome to bring your own or rent one from one of these approved vendors. They will deliver the mobility device to your stateroom on the ship:

On the web: Special Needs at Sea website
Guests may bring and use wheelchairs, mobility scooters and other assistive devices onboard the ships. Due to safety regulations, Segways may not be used onboard.
Assistive devices including mobility scooters must be stored and recharged in your stateroom so fire doors, corridors and elevator lobbies are kept clear for emergency evacuation. When parked throughout the ship, they must be parked out of the way to allow safe and easy access by other guests and crewmembers.
Assistive devices should fit through a standard stateroom entry doorway which is at least 23 inches wide. Celebrity offers accessible staterooms which have wider doorways measuring at least 32 inches wide and may accommodate larger devices. If you have an assistive device larger than 32 inches wide, please contact the Access Department for assistance.
Please note: Crewmembers are NOT permitted to lift assistive devices.
Accessible Staterooms
Accessible staterooms are designed with wider doors, roll-in showers, grab bars and other special features for guests with mobility disabilities and other disabilities that require the use of the accessible features of that stateroom.
Accessible staterooms are held for people with disabilities until all other non-accessible staterooms in that category are reserved. Upon reserving an accessible stateroom, Celebrity requires that guests acknowledge the need for the accessible stateroom by completing a Guest Special Needs Form.
If a guest is booked in an accessible stateroom and they do not have a mobility disability or other disability that requires the use of the features that are provided in the accessible stateroom, they may be moved at any time to a non-accessible stateroom in order to accommodate a guest with a disability. Please note that Celebrity will investigate and take action on potential misuse of accessible staterooms where there is good cause to believe that such staterooms have been booked fraudulently.
For additional information, contact the Access Department at 1-866-592-7225 (voice), send an email to special_needs@celebrity.com, or have your travel professional contact Celebrity.
Boarding Accessibility
Airport Transportation - If requested in advance, Celebrity can arrange for accessible transportation to transfer guests between the airport and the pier. This service is offered at no extra charge to their air/sea guests or those who have purchased cruise-only transfers. Accessible transportation may be limited or not available outside the U.S. Contact your travel agent or Celebrity for details.
Extra Assistance at the Pier - Celebrity Cruises offers boarding and departure assistance with wheelchairs to guests with mobility disabilities. Request assistance once you arrive at the pier or contact Celebrity prior to your cruise so that they may prioritize your assistance to go onboard. During peak times there may be a wait for assistance.
Many ports provide easy access for wheelchairs and scooters. However due to various conditions - such as steepness of the gangway, tendering, weather, tidal and sea conditions, and shore-side facilities - guests using assistive devices may be precluded from getting on or off the ship.
Celebrity will make reasonable efforts to assist guests, but for safety reasons, their staff is not permitted to lift guests or equipment. Assistance with manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. will be provided.
Assistance Onboard - Celebrity will provide reasonable mobility assistance to guests in accessing areas of the ship that are not accessible.
Traveling from Ship to Shore - At some ports, the ship will anchor off shore, and guests are taken to shore by small boats called tenders. Even if the ship is scheduled to dock at a pier, it can change to tendering.
Guests with assistive devices who are unable to take a few steps will be unable to board tenders unless roll-on capability is available.
In order to safely board most tenders, guests must be able to take steps and use a collapsible manual wheelchair. In addition, motorized wheelchairs and mobility scooters can not be taken on tenders, unless roll-on capability is available. Inquire about tender roll-on capability at the Guest Relations Desk while on board. Please note roll-on capability is not guaranteed.
Weather, sea conditions and other factors may preclude tendering. Safety of the guests and crew is the primary consideration, and the Captain and his staff will make the final decision regarding transferring guests and their assistive devices based on safety reasons.
If guests are unable to tender or disembark due to these circumstances, there will be no refund or credit for missed ports. While Celebrity recognizes your disappointment, the safety of guests and crew takes precedence.
Hearing Disabilities
Celebrity accommodates guests who are deaf and hard of hearing by providing them with technological advancements wherever and whenever possible. To customize your accommodations to meet your specific needs, please request and complete the Guest Special Needs Form from Celebrity. For additional information, contact the Access Department at 1-866-592-7225 (voice), send an e-mail to special_needs@celebrity.com, or contact your travel professional.
Amenities for Hearing Impaired Guests include:
Visual Disabilities
Celebrity has made the cruise experience as effortless as possible for guests who are blind or have low vision. Some Celebrity ships incorporate Braille in public areas and elevators. As always, crew and staff are on hand to assist in every way at any time. To customize your accommodations to meet your specific needs, please request and complete the Guest Special Needs Form from Celebrity. For additional information, contact the Access Department at 1-866-592-7225 (voice), send an e-mail to special_needs@celebrity.com, or contact your travel professional.
Amenities for Vision Impaired Guests include:
Service Animals
Celebrity warmly welcomes service dogs on all ships except those sailing to the United Kingdom (UK) due to DEFRA regulations. Please note: pets are NOT permitted onboard.
A service dog is defined as "any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability." Service dogs are not considered pets. Evidence that a dog is a service dog is helpful, but not required (such as identification cards, other written documentation, presence of harnesses and/or tags or the credible verbal assurance of the person with a disability using the animal).
Celebrity will provide 4 feet by 4 feet relief areas with cypress mulch to accommodate service dogs. Sod for sailings from the U.S. can be provided if requested in advance and is available. Relief areas are provided on a shared basis with other service dogs onboard. Please note that The Lawn Club on Solstice class ships is not designated as a relief area. Please notify the Access Department at time of booking, but no later than 30 days prior to sailing, if a service dog relief area is needed.
Service dogs are permitted to accompany the person with a disability in all public areas, including dining venues. While in public areas, service dogs must be on a leash, harness, or other restraining device. Due to health regulations, service dogs are not permitted in pools, whirlpools or spas.
Care and supervision of the service animal is the sole responsibility of the owner. The ships are not required to provide food or care for the animal. Guests may bring a reasonable quantity of food and bowls for the dog onboard the ship at no additional charge. If refrigerated space is needed, notify the Access Department at time of booking, but no later than 30 days prior to sailing.
Guests are responsible for obtaining all required permits for service dogs to depart the ship in non-U.S. ports. Guest must carry a copy with them on the ship, and leave a copy with the Guest Relations Desk after boarding the ship.
To obtain specific information on required documents for service dogs, please visit the U. S. Department of Agriculture's website. All documentation and immunization requirements are established by government authorities and not Celebrity Cruises. Please note requirements are subject to change without notice.
If the guest chooses to disembark the ship at a port at which the service dog must remain onboard, the guest must make arrangements to ensure that the dog is cared for. Note that the ship's staff is not required to care for the dog, nor can the dog be left in the stateroom unattended.
Internet access is available in the Internet Café 24 hours a day until debarkation is completed.
Guests can also connect to the Internet on each ship in the Celebrity fleet, either by accessing a 24/7 wireless connection "hotspot", or utilizing the resources of the Internet Café located onboard. Depending on class of ship, you can access the Internet from your stateroom. On Solstice Class chips, the full ship is wireless; on Millennium Class ships you may be able to access wireless service from your stateroom based on where the closest hotspot is located. You will be able to receive email, via satellite link 24 hours a day, satellite conditions permitting. There is also an Internet Manager on board to assist you.
Internet Packages
Every Celebrity ship has a minimum of one fully licensed physician and two licensed nurses onboard. Types of medications kept onboard are limited, and guests must bring an adequate supply of any medications they may need on their cruise.

Submit Your Own Review!food and room service 10s
Pros: food and room service 10s
Cons: SOME PROBLEMS WITH BATHROOM. SOME FIXED. OTHERS NO PARTS
Review: THE FOOD SERVER ALEXANDER AT TABLE 455 WAS BEYOND GREAT ALL 10S . ROOM SERVER 3112 WAS ALSO GREAT.
Great staff, communication with guests, available amenities on board, itinerary and variety of excursion options, the service was good
Pros: Great staff, communication with guests, available amenities on board, itinerary and variety of excursion options, the service was good
Cons: Menu options not as varied as a previous cruise
Review: The menu comment is not that the food wasn’t good, the taste, plating, and service are great. It’s just that I expected a bit more variety day to day at the buffet for lunch and dinner. The main dining menu is good and rotates daily, but they had a lot of the one-time per cruise “premium” offerings on the same night and I don’t like wasting food just to get a taste of something. I would challenge anyone to find a better Cruise Hotel Director, Andrea takes her job to heart and wants to ensure every guest has a good voyage.
Great service. Refurbished ship. Great ports and shore excursions.
Pros: Great service. Refurbished ship. Great ports and shore excursions.
Cons: None to speak of.
Review: Waited for four years to do this trip. Worth the wait. Everything we had hoped for and more. Great service.
everything other than the internet
Pros: everything other than the internet
Cons: internet
Review: Wonderful staff, ship and cruise. LOVED the Millennium and Celebrity.
Nice ship. SMooth sailing
Pros: Nice ship. SMooth sailing
Cons: Nickle and dime you to death. Quality has gone down. Too many emails.
Review: It's been a few years since we sailed with Celebrity. I feel their quality has gone down a notch or two. Food was not as good as before and the choices were somewhat less. And to charge extra for a lobster tail or a good steak is ridiculous. The cost to eat in the specialty restaurants is way too much. The ship is in fairly good shape but lots of areas on the outside need refurbishing. Finally--Celebrity has got to give it's customers options for the number of emails we get. At least one or two a day is way way way too much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice friendly staff. On-board entertainment. Comfortable room. Ports and shopping.
Pros: Nice friendly staff. On-board entertainment. Comfortable room. Ports and shopping.
Cons: 3-hour bus ride to Anchorage from Seward. Food. Morning room-service fees at Concierge level.
Review: Food in the main dining room has been better on previous Celebrity cruises. The dining staff themselves were wonderful but the food selection and preparation was a minus for us. Excellent martini bar! Our sommelier was excellent and provided great wine selections. Entertainers and shows on this cruise were wonderful as always. Disembarking the ship remains clumsy but we have no suggestions how to improve this process. Although our bus driver to Anchorage was incredibly entertaining, the 3-hour ride from Seward was, well, 3 hours. The ship seemed to be operating with a minimum of staff. One employee shared they have personnel ready to hire but the visa process has been slow. We love touring through Alaska and as a result still recommend this cruise.
Ship was clean, Captain was great, Room stewards did excellent job, excursion team did a good job, the excursions were very good, entertainment was good.
Pros: Ship was clean, Captain was great, Room stewards did excellent job, excursion team did a good job, the excursions were very good, entertainment was good.
Cons: The meals in the main dining room seemed to be lacking a little, not many choices on the entrees and desserts so the oceanview dining area had much better choices of food but the desserts were not very good. The excursion team on shore seemed to be more chaotic than it needed to be.
Review: See pros and cons

Pros: Room, Service, Entertainment, buffet, intinerary
Cons: Main Dining room food lacked variety
Review: We loved the itinerary - all of the islands we visited were great. The service was very good - stateroom service and Main Dining room service. The entertainment was very good, even the cruise director had a show and he was a very good singer. We really enjoyed our time aboard
Superb staff from Captain to cabin steward, ultra clean ship
Pros: Superb staff from Captain to cabin steward, ultra clean ship
Cons: Soups were disappointing! Wanted more written info on the ports
Review: Excellent entertainment and ship info insights. Ocean lectures and canal commentary was very good! Ports of call had very welcoming entrance areas esp. Cartagena's wildlife and plantings - Gift shop there was the best from local craftsmen to jewelry! Shopping was great in island cruise ports and good values aboard also! Effy!!! Spa was great. Tuscan Grille was a treat!!! Thanks for the fab Birthday Dinner.
The crew of this ship is outstanding and the scenic portion is more than we imagined
Pros: The crew of this ship is outstanding and the scenic portion is more than we imagined
Cons: Can’t think of a single con
Review: Take this trip aboard this ship and you will never regret it! The excursions, the shows on board and even our cabin exceeded Our expectations!
Pros: No Pros
Cons: connecting to WIFI with our VPN sucked
Review: All the personnel were very good and helpful. The food and service was excellent.
Friendliness and efficiency of staff, entertainment, comfort in concierge rooms, cleanliness of every area of the ship, both the buffet and main dining room food
Pros: Friendliness and efficiency of staff, entertainment, comfort in concierge rooms, cleanliness of every area of the ship, both the buffet and main dining room food
Cons: Very few options for sugar free treats, it would be nice to perhaps have a rotation of menus in the buffet. The options were pretty much the same all 7 nights.
Review: Our trip was everything we hoped for, and more!
Friendly, very clean, fun,
Pros: Friendly, very clean, fun,

Beautiful ship…great buffet
Pros: Beautiful ship…great buffet
Cons: Dining room food and service
Review: We appreciated that there were about 600 fewer people on board. Embarkation and debarkation went very smoothly and quickly. Our balcony room was a bit smaller than on some other ships we’ve been on but very comfortable with plenty of storage space. Our steward was great. The buffet for breakfast and lunch offered many choices and the staff served all the food. All staff on board wore masks all the time…much appreciated. We were disappointed in the dining room service and food. The dining room itself is lovely and we had two great tables by windows. The food is average at best. The staff was hampered by inexperience, training, and having some items not readily available. We know they tried.
The staff
Pros: The staff
Cons: Our cabin was underneath the art gallery.. heavy objects were dropped on our ceiling frequently at all hours of day and night. Heavy carts would make sounds like a railroad track as they were pushed along.
Review: Celebrity millennium staff are simply wonderful and kind. Our state room attendant was six out of 5 stars. And that's no exaggeration. Very kind very gracious just amazing. Be cautious on your stateroom selection. Be aware of what's above you. Being on a vacation means you're supposed to be able to relax. But our cabin was underneath the art gallery. Workers are moving art at all hours of the day and night. Like living underneath the gorilla's jungle gym. As you get off your cruise. Do some research. The cruise is there to make things extremely convenient for you. But it comes at a price. If you willing to take your luggage a couple of blocks to the public transit, you'll save $20 per person by writing their train versus taking the cruise lines bus back to the airport. The Cruise line doesn't tell you this.

No cases of the virus reported that we know of. All the crew and staff were happy to have customers back aboard. We enjoyed cruising on the Millenium.

Great service
Pros: Great service
Cons: Lack of excursions
Review: Loved this trip. Wish there was more excursions to choose from (first ship back from Covid)
Cleanliness, Staff, Food, Covid testing , Hand washing stations prior to entering food areas was really stylish made you feel nice
Pros: Cleanliness, Staff, Food, Covid testing , Hand washing stations prior to entering food areas was really stylish made you feel nice
Cons: Some hype from the Celebrity that WiFi is free, their use of their WiFi app that does not always work, like in the arrival terminal
Review: Some things to remind all travelers leaving the USA. You need Covid paperwork, as required by the destination country, if they say 72 hours and you suffer a delay they do not care, one guest on this cruise by the time he arrived at the arrival customs area was less than hour over the 72 limit he had to be retested and was immediately pulled from the line held in quarantine to be retested at his expense. The TSA is still doing their thing and the lines do not move swiftly, remember you may have to almost strip to you birthday suit to proceed so dress appropriately. Celebrity staff was so happy to be back at work, they went out of their way to consistently tell you how happy they were that you were there, from the captain to the lowest level employee and they meant it. To be back on a cruise ship was great, all the reasons people cruise were there in spades. quality was great and choices of food was great also but at times overwhelming, the off ship activities were good and all seemed very happy with the choices they made. The ship’s entertainment was above average we had a magician, a circ-de-solie duo , singers, various lounge musical entertainment and all were impressive! The pitfalls, though small, really were upsetting, The spa personnel really pressured you to buy outrageously expensive products, think $40 for a can of hair spray, they really push too hard and one “no” from the customer is not enough. The spa pricing is not published and be sure to ask before you book, because what you think will be $100-$150 massage will be closer to $200 or more. The ship said that due to Covid they wanted passengers to do everything on their WiFi app using your phone, (everything from setting a Covid test time to a making a dinner or excursion reservation). However when they say its free it is so throttled down that their own app will not load the pictures. Also in the instructions for things like Covid testing they did not tell you the information needed til you where on the application, so it would time out while you got what you needed and had to start over… frustrating, very frustrating!! You really needed to upgrade to do anything other than pure texting. No pictures, or emojis. Shame on them for advertising free internet, because what a prudent person expected as internet, as offered is not it.

The dinner sitting was thye highlight of each day. We had a group of 12 that spent our dinner hour each day swapping storiede and experinces - the Millenium staff (Arun, Rodrigo, Mikel and Vlad) were over the top in personalizing and enjoying the time along with us - they exceeded all our expectations and we would return just to spend time with them again.

Review: Our family of 8, parents, grown children, grandchildren, had a wonderful time on the Millennium. Ship was nice, enjoyed the food, staff great. Grandsons (age 15,15 and 12) had plenty to do while on board.

Pros: Newly updated, great beds, modern baths, clean and fresh, excellent service and great food!
Cons: Intermittant Wifi while in remote locations, not enough vegetable offerings in the main dining area.
Review: This was our first cruise and it far exceeded our expectations! Great ship, great staff. We had a very enjoyable experience with no notable negative experiences. Highly recommend this vessel!!
Superb service. Delicious and varied dining options. Beautifully March 2019 “revolutionized” decor over entire ship.
Pros: Superb service. Delicious and varied dining options. Beautifully March 2019 “revolutionized” decor over entire ship.
Cons: For hot weather, they will need more sun protection on the new Retreat Sundeck (umbrellas? Cabana covers?), a new area for suite guests only.
Review: Millennium has been beautifully modernized. Bright and beautiful decor. The new Retreat Lounge for suite guests is a wonderful bright, light and welcome change to the dark mahogany gentlemen’s club atmosphere of Michaels Club. The Rendezvous Lounge is also brighter and more welcoming as is the new main dining room decor. Meals in Luminae were exceptional. Newly revamped Ocean View Cafe offers a more open atmosphere and food stations in the round mean much less crowding. Aqua Spa Cafe is now the Spa Cafe (in Solarium), open to everyone, and has delicious healthy breakfast and lunch offerings. Celebrity service continues to be outstanding.

Smaller number of passengers; wonderful service from staff; great food - better than most cruise lines; comfortable surroundings
Pros: Smaller number of passengers; wonderful service from staff; great food - better than most cruise lines; comfortable surroundings
Cons: Older ship (but is presently going in to dry dock for a complete inside makeover)
Review: This was our second cruise on the Millennium. We specifically chose it for this trip because we liked the itinerary and we knew the staff and food would be top-of-the-line. It was!!! Also, the entertainment was very enjoyable (especially Fiesta Strings - a violin/cello duo). My wife and I highly recommend Celebrity Cruises. Entertainment and events/excursions on the Millennium typically cater to older sophisticated adults that enjoy the comfort of cruising, and not so much the parties. That's not to say we didn't get loud at the bars, but there are few "kids" and not a typical Disney crowd and entertainment. We would recommend the Sky Suite. Highly recommend this ship and cruise line.
Service of staff and crew
Pros: Service of staff and crew
Cons: Cost of shore excursions way too costly. Did not do shore excursions for this reason. If costs were more reasonable perhaps more people would Do them.
Review: The up selling of the different restaurants for an extra fee was disheartening. I feel that you should have been able to experience all restaurants for the fee that was paid. Similar to all inclusive resorts you should be able to book a la carts restaurants at no extra fee. The food was phenomenal at the select dining level as well as in the buffet. The staff throughout the ship were exemplary in all aspects. Captain Alex was phenomenal with his manoeuvring of the ship and his daily jokes and entertainment.
Staff was very friendly, ship was clean. The itinerary was wonderful and the time in port was perfect
Pros: Staff was very friendly, ship was clean. The itinerary was wonderful and the time in port was perfect
Cons: No shuffle board, not enough ping pong tables. 2 ping pong tables were on the same side as the smoking section. No soccer ball and 2 flat basketballs
Review: This was a very nice ship, the rooms were nice and spacious and everything was very clean. The food at the buffet and the dining room was good.
Friendly staff who know their jobs, will stop and help you whenever you ask, and always treated me like I was the queen.

Review: We enjoyed our week aboard the Millenium. I can’t say enough about the staff. Our waiters, Asif and Roidon were tremendous. They always remembered what are drink preferences were, they made suggestions about the menu, and they often brought other plates of other selections for us to share at the table.
Courteous and helpful staff! Crew and Captain above and beyond in all regards. THe Captain showed us a tour of the glacier that was breathtaking. We were so close we felt we could almost touch it

Cons: Nothing ...
Review: We try to avoid (as much as possible) the buffet. The food at the buffet was really quite good.....but we simply don't like fussing with lines and traffic at every turn. We much preferred the dining room for breakfast lunch and dinner. This is not a criticism of the buffet staff or the fare; rather a preference of ours to enjoy a more quiet venue. The food and service in the Dining Room were absolutely outstanding! Please make note that our Waiter - Kristianus, Assistant Waiter - Winoto, and Sommelier - Leo took exceptional care of us!! We waited for nothing and enjoyed everything. Please pass along a very sincere, heart felt, and well deserved commendation from us to these kind people. The food was always presented beautifully, with no wait - and was always delicious. Our cabin attendant was always there and always helpful. This was our 35th wedding anniversary celebration and we were absolutely thrilled to be on this ship for this special time. We had a surprise celebration from Kristianus, Winoto, and Leo when we were presented a special anniversary cake and toast at our table to commemorate the event! Please keep up the great work! We will absolutely cruise with Celebrity again! Warmest wishes, Dick and Beth Bowden

Review: I want to thank celebrity millennium for an enjoyable cruise experience. This was my first cruise with celebrity and I look forward to the next one. I want to commend most especially the dining staff both Metropolitan and the three specialty restaurants. I would not hesitate to recommend celebrity to family and friends,.
Ship size was wonderful, staff was incredible, entertainment was top notch, captain was the highlight
Pros: Ship size was wonderful, staff was incredible, entertainment was top notch, captain was the highlight
Cons: Food was mediocre, supplies in ship stores was inadequate
Review: Overall the ship is wonderful. It is in desperate need of an updating and I understand it is to go into dry dock next year for a complete redo. The size of the ship is great, 2100 passengers is a good size because you see the same people more often and can make new friends. The staff was incredible. They were all very friendly, happy and helpful. The captain, Alex Popodopolus was an added bonus. His morning announcements were something to look forward to. For example one morning in referring to our position, he said it was "upright." The downside on this ship was the food. It wasn't bad, just mediocre. We had some great meals but for the most part it was not up to Celebrity's standards. On the third day out, I went to find some aspirin or Tylenol, but the ship's store was incredibly lacking. There were no pain relievers of any kind. We were told they were "all out." In the clothing shops on day one, many items were only available in small and X-large; all other sizes were sold out.
Good itinerary. Great service - stateroom and dining room. Great entertainment.
Pros: Good itinerary. Great service - stateroom and dining room. Great entertainment.
Cons: Food quality in dining room was not up to our expectations
Review: Too much "nickel & diming." We barely got in the door with champagne in hand when someone approached us to see if we wanted to buy a drink package. Also, had to pay for computer and fitness classes that we expected to be available for no additional cost. The ship is well appointed and the staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the itinerary.

Review: The staff aboard and the guides on our excursions were outstanding. This was a trip of a lifetime with amazing sights and wonderful service on both the land and sea portion of our trip. Blu as our main dining and Tuscan Grill for a special evening served delicious and well presented meals with great care by our servers, wine stewards and staff. Special kudos to our land guide John and driver Eric for their knowledge and service. Sean our guide in Denali was fantastic. This was my 19th cruise on various lines and in many ways the best.
Beautiful, well maintained ship with excellent staff and accommodations. We felt extremely cared for and pampered by all staff. Activities were fun and well executed. Meals were delicious and fine dining delivered great quality. Loved the coffee bar, scenic lounge with windows on three sides, theater and pools. Room service was a great feature which offered flexibility.
Pros: Beautiful, well maintained ship with excellent staff and accommodations. We felt extremely cared for and pampered by all staff. Activities were fun and well executed. Meals were delicious and fine dining delivered great quality. Loved the coffee bar, scenic lounge with windows on three sides, theater and pools. Room service was a great feature which offered flexibility.
Cons: Would have liked appealing activities, such as movies, to be shown during times when excursions did not conflict. While we did not go without good food, we were surprised that our food options were limited to just 3 places (including room service) without having to be a member of something or pay extra (including ice cream). We had heard cruises were known for lots of food options all the time. Less options for those who do not drink. Outdoor pools and recreation court are great, but not used much during a trip with cold weather. Sea sickness occurred our last day so would have been good to be better prepared for that. Not unusual and didn't interrupt our trip much since it was the last day.
Review: Concierge was great, but not sure if it gave us the value for the cost without comparing prices further. Alaskan ports were beautiful, but definitely need a planned excursion since shopping was very touristy and not varied, unless tourist is looking for high priced items and jewelry. Excursions of salmon fishing, zip lines, whale watching, glacier tours delivered exactly as described.
Qsine dining restaurant is very good and different;
Pros: Qsine dining restaurant is very good and different;
Cons: First sailing with customers for the crew so service was hit or miss
Review: Fantastic itinerary and plenty of excursion options for people. The service on the boat was not consistent such as you could not get the same drink at all the bars because they may or may not have had the ingredients to make the drink. Food was good in metropolitan restaurant but buffet was spread all over the place to hard to find things.
Almost all the crew were very friendly and helpful, food in buffet was good
Pros: Almost all the crew were very friendly and helpful, food in buffet was good
Cons: Getting off and on the ship at ports, inconsistent allowing of food items on board
Review: For the most part it was a nice cruise. I did not enjoy traveling to South Korea and would have preferred a second day in one of the ports we visited in Japan.
Great staff
Pros: Great staff
Cons: Ship needs to be updated
Review: Cruise and ports great. Ship is getting a little old

Pros: Comfortable cabin, amazing staff, friendly, helpful. Spa experience wonderful-Mandy is a genius for massage.
Cons: Food only so-so. Shore excursions offered by Celebrity not well described
Review: Overall a great experience. The food was not up to our expectations but several nights were memorable. After a rocky start with some issues in our stateroom, the staff was rapidly responsive and even left us a complementary bottle of wine. Martini bar was so much fun. Some great entertainment was offered as well.
Captains visibility and mingling with the guest. Enjoyed his daily announcements keeping the passengers informed.

Staff was friendly! Cruise ship was large enough and plenty of areas for every one to enjoy with food, drinks, entertainment and activities. Easy tab system with stateroom cards tied to credit card and no cash needed (but be aware some items have additional costs which will show up). Great food in Metropolitan dining area and available at the Oceanview Buffett most any time of day. Open seating was nice rather than set dining options.
Pros: Staff was friendly! Cruise ship was large enough and plenty of areas for every one to enjoy with food, drinks, entertainment and activities. Great food in Metropolitan dining area and available at the Oceanview Buffett most any time of day. Open seating was nice rather than set dining options.
Cons: Extra costs for some things (some activities, dining options for specialty areas, bridge tour, some drinks, gelato, Internet). Trip was very rainy, overcast and views were limited. Avoided family hours in pool because parents dropped off teens, kids with no supervision and they were very loud and unruly... No relaxing!
Review: Overall ship and service was fantastic! Room with balcony was very nice and we used it often! Internet was expensive ($229) for one device and was not reliable. We loved the coffee shop area and spent time there before dinner most afternoons enjoying a coffee and pastry or dessert. (Gelato was an added expense.) we enjoyed open seating dining and met many people from different countries who we enjoyed visiting with. And although we preferred certain servers over others because of their extensive knowledge of the meals, sites, ports, and ship, all were friendly. Oceanview buffet offered so many choices at all times but was always very busy and window seats were at a premium. The food service tour was excellent (and no cost)! Michaela gave excellent advice on packages to add. The classic beverage add on was sufficient for us. If you wanted premium liquor or craft beer there was an additional cost. It was confusing at first trying to figure out which drinks were part of the classic package and which were additional costs (it all went by dollar limits), but the servers and bar tenders were good about letting us know. The online registration, profile and check in was not cooperative for us and was quite frustrating! After spending hours filling out all information early - in April for the July cruise, we thought we were done until we needed to check in, but then received a message one week before saying our information was not complete. After trying another two times, Michaela had to help us get it all completed and another two hours later we were registered and checked in. The online process was not user friendly or easy and we are computer knowledgable! We also had been told by Muchaela we had a $300 ship credit in our package but this did not show up anywhere with our cruise and profile information (it did show tips included and classic package with open dining... But no credit) so we figured it was not part of the package after all. Then the night before disembarkment when we received a print out of our charges, we saw the $150/person ($300 couple) cruise credit. The $229 Internet had been applied here so we had around $70 yet to use. It would have been nice knowing earlier, but we decided to enjoy the crab lunch and gelato to nearly deplete the credit. The tour choices in each port were quite overwhelming and hard to read through and decide and the additional expense added up quickly if doing many tours. We decided to take advantage of two tours and enjoyed self guided experiences in the other ports. Icy Straits (Hoonah) was a ten hour stop and this was too much time for us in the small port/town without doing a tour. We walked the 1.5 miles to town, enjoyed a local beer and seafood lunch (in the rain) then headed back and spent the afternoon on the ship. The two biking tours we took advantage of were enjoyable (although wet) and the guides were knowledgable and pleasant! We were able to see and enjoy whales from the ship but those who took in whale watching tours said they saw many more. Bald eagles were plentiful in the trees, flying overhead and near the shoreline. The shows in ship were usually full (9pm anyhow) as people would go after dinner. Entertainment was enjoyable. Activities were throughout the day and we took in a few of the adult activities in the Cosmos lounge late at night. The games and competitions were entertaining but geared more toward larger groups who came together and could cheer each other on. The pool area and dos area were quite relaxing except we learned to avoid this area during family hours (4-7) as parents would drop off kids and teens without supervision and they were out of control. More than once officers came to speak with them or remove them... So we simply avoided that time each evening. Overall we enjoyed the cruise and all aspects except would recommend (as guides and locals mentioned) going in June as weather is typically drier, sunnier and warmer, but they also cautioned it is unpredictable. We had rain and overcast skies with temperatures moderate (55-65) each day.
Celebrity Cruise great, as always
Pros: Celebrity Cruise great, as always
Cons: Wish we would've done the tour first and ended with the cruise
Review: Now that our cruise tour is over. We realize that we wouldn't have done it that way had we been informed. Tour should be first, to get all of the horribly long and crowded bus travel over with and then be able to relax on the cruise. If I was to go a step farther, I would actually say take the cruise, for sure. But then schedule a small group tour of Denali and skip the cheesy Fairbanks tours and crappy lodging.
Friendly staff, good entertainment, crew was visible every day. If you like high end shopping they have many stores.
Pros: Friendly staff, good entertainment, crew was visible every day. If you like high end shopping they have many stores.
Cons: Buffet was set up strange, had to keep walking around to find choices, only to find out you were sitting on the complete other side of the restaurant. In main restaurant menu choices seemed strange, limited variety, but they do have their daily classics so you can always get a steak.
Review: We really enjoyed our cruise to Alaska. It was only the second time we had been on a cruise. The ship was much nicer and updated than the first one we were on with a different cruise line. Our stateroom attendant couldn't have been more attentive than he was. He was quick to do our room, seeming to know when we had left, so by time we returned from breakfast our room was done. Same way with the evening. He would empty any new trash, replace the towels again, etc. It was like having your room cleaned twice a day. The perks we got free when we booked were great. Upgraded beverage package allowed you to have a never ending wine glass at dinner. They kept refilling it before it was empty. While we did meet many nice people while sharing our tables at breakfast and dinner, there were a few that I could have done without. If we asked for just a table for two, we got the impression that we were being difficult. Some of the tables for two were actually for four because the distance between them was miniscule, or they were placed in the main thoroughfare so you were surrounded by traffic. Sometimes you just want to dine alone.

Pros: itinerary=ports of call; shore excursions; private journey excursions in Vietnam; destination lectures were informative & helpful, Enterainment was superb w/Celebrity singers, dancers, band, Yoomia, Daniel Mallari, Fusion, Montique,
Cons: lifeboat drill was unorganized & confusing; need portable microphones were in large group like shore excursions; gym facilities not able to accommodate large group of 20 to do stretching exercises; Maitre D in Metropolitian dining room Conder was rude & inconsiderate to our table; have reserved seats for handicapped on tour buses
Review: Overall, it was memorable cruise. Celebrity cruise lines ranked high but somewhat didn't live up to its ranking. The quality & presentation of food was not that good. "timeless" on menu was nice but got boring. Food presentation wasn't appealing as it was just plated w/no color or garnish. Sometimes meat was tough or couldn't cut or chew it OR overcook so mushy. It was nice that there was a special "Asian" dish prepared some nights. Enjoyed having lunch at Bistro 5 as food was fresh, appealing & appetizing. Olympic same & Qsine was unique & enjoyable. The one disconcerning issue was the maitre D named Conder in Metropolitan dining room. He was rather obvious in his actions & mannerism in dealing w/table #318. We knew & felt "not welcomed/wanted", "outcasted", "left out". with no reason why. He completely ignored our presence of 8 humans & only came to the table when it was necessary and/or last minute. We treated him pleasantly w/no fuss & no complaints during the 14 day cruise. We wondered how he has able to be in a high position w/this type of personality & attitude. He was plain RUDE to us & we knew & felt it! At the end we reluctantly gave him something along w/thank you (which was not warranted). However, Ranjit & Ronald made our dining experience enjoyable as well as our fellow passengers. In our experiences on different cruise lines, this is worse experience! Again, other crew & staff & itinerary along w/fellow passengers made it a enjoyable cruise/trip to Asia!

Review: Kobe, Shimizu and Yokohama were very interesting and enjoyable ports of call. The people at the Japan ports were very welcoming with bands, children with banners and Taiko drummers to welcome us. Taiko drummers also performed for our departure in Shimizu and Yokohama. Shimizu was definitely had a party atmosphere as we departed. A band played, fireworks were shot off and many people from the community came to the pier to wish us well. I was quite impressed and happy. Petropavlovsk, Russia was very small; however the snow-covered mountains were beautiful. Russian Immigration and passport checks were very time-consuming. Many sea days were rainy and cold keeping guests inside and away from the pool. The Activity staff tried to keep us occupied and happy during all the long sea days.

Cons: Even with a well organized land tour, Celebrity crammed too much into Day 3: four hour train ride from Fairbanks to Denali and eight hour bus ride through the Denali Tundra. It should never be an offering.

The ship was kept very clean.
Pros: The ship was kept very clean.
Cons: The disembarkment process from ship to transportation to airport home.
Review: There was no celebrity staff in the bus terminal after disembarkment to direct us to the correct bus taking us to the airport. This created some confusion for us.
Pros: No Pros
Cons: Wish we had more time in Skagway

Crew was very courteous, helpful and attentive!
Pros: Crew was very courteous, helpful and attentive!
Cons: Cruise Director - difficult to understand his accent. Came across as rather bossy. Did not appreciate photographers chasing us to take photos with characters in front of Oceanview restaurant.
Review: Thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. Crew was polite, welcoming, helpful and attentive. Special thanks to Dominik of Future Cruises. He handled all my changes efficiently and quickly - also very polite and professional. All Future Cruise staff was very polite and courteous. Guest Relations staff - excellent. Stateroom attendants - attentive to all my needs and quickly complied with any request. LOVED the blanket animals! Each night was a different animal. Dining room wait staff and hostess were wonderful - very pleasant and accommodated all my requests! Concierge (Cindy) was super - she must be psychic! Any questions we had concerning ports and transportation were anticipated and all information provided in a very understandable manner. Loved the mass information and Vancouver sky train flyers! Hopefully all Celebrity concierges will follow and provide mass information! Activity Director (Rachel) and Activity Host (Taylor) very enjoyable - made trivia and other games fun. Loved DJ Zen's movie music trivia!! Did not attend production shows; however Beyond the Podium was very interesting. Captain's Club (Lionel) was also excellent. Enjoyed Captain's Club activities. Crew was always very approachable and answered questions. Did not use Shore Excursions. Very heavy on jewelry port shopping (like Caribbean). Port shopping guide and his wife were helpful and available. Most shore excursions were rather expensive. Public buses and shuttles were available and inexpensive.
Breathtaking scenery everywhere, we saw whales, bears, otters and seals
Pros: Breathtaking scenery everywhere, we saw whales, bears, otters and seals
Cons: Every port is highly commercialized and their main business is selling jewelry to tourists.

Good shows: good entertainment director
Pros: Good shows: good entertainment director
Cons: Advertised Sapporo, but stopped 2 hrs bus trip away. Therefore using up 1/2 of the 1 day stop on bus. Didn't travel so far to sit on bus. Also, Russian stop was terrible. It was not a stop for us as tourist, but a refueling stop for ship. They should get another refueling place or stop referring to it as a tourist destination.
